Union American Methodist Episcopal Church
Welcome to the Official site of the Union American Methodist Episcopal Church Incorporated. The Union American Methodist Episcopal Church has a unique and glorious history. It was unique in that it is the first African American Church fully incorporated in the United States of American. We were founded in 1805 by the Right Reverend Peter Spencer and incorporated in the State of Delaware in 1813. We rejected the negative theological interpretations which rendered persons of African descent second class citizens and therefore sought to establish a church in which all could freely worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Mission of the Union American Methodist Episcopal Church Inc. is to minister to the whole man (spiritually, emotionally, physically by teaching and preaching the gospel of and living the Gospel in our everyday lives. We are committed to advancing the Kingdom of God through Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Multiplication, Fellowship, and Love.
